TEHRAN Two prominent reformists this week rejected claims of Akbar Ganji about the serial murders.
An adviser to President Khatami and a member of the Islamic Iran Participation Party (IIPP), Saeed Hajjarian said on the sideline of the Tehran City Council session that Ganji should prove his claims himself.
Ganji had claimed that Mohseni Ejei had ordered the murder of a dissident writer and that former intelligence minister Ali Fallahian was behind the serial murders.
Also there were some claims that Ganji had received his information from Saeed Hajjarian, himself a former deputy intelligence minister.
Hajjarian rejected the claim, saying "Ganji did not receive any information from me." Meanwhile, Ali Shakouri-Rad, a member of Parliament said that paying attention to the role of former intelligence minister Dorri Najafabadi is not helpful.
Although he was the intelligence minister, his role is not significant in the case. On the reason for the difference of opinion between him and Ganji about the role of Dorri Najafabadi, he said," I have some classified information that Ganji does not."
